Connecting Woodside Latest Consultations

The next round of consultation for Connecting Woodside is now underway!

This time, we’re asking you what you think about our proposed changes to St George’s Road and West Princes Street.

We have a range of ideas to improve both streets for people walking and cycling, including improved crossings and connections along West Princes Street and a segregated cycleway on St George’s Road – come along for a cup of tea and a chat to find out more and have your say.

Did you come along to our consultations earlier this year on the southern section of St George’s Road and Garscube Road? Come and see how the designs have progressed based on your feedback.

The project team are going to be at:

  • Woodlands Workspace ( Ashley Street ) on Thursday 15th August, 3-7pm , focusing on West Princes Street
  • Woodside Library ( St George’s Road ) on Tuesday 27th August, 3-7pm , focusing on St Georges Road
  • Information on West Princes Street and St George’s Road will be available at both consultations, so feel free to drop into either one.

We’ll also be having a short walk around West Princes Street and nearby streets on the 15th, setting off at 5.30pm (although numbers will be limited) to get a better understanding of what we can improve.

Can’t come along to either event? Then you can view all the consultation materials using the links below, and you can leave your comments on our Commonplace map here , by Friday 13th September 2019:

  • Project Introduction
  • West Princes Street
  • St George's Road overview
  • St George's Road (Charing Cross to West Princes Street)
  • St George's Road (St George's Place to Garscube Road)
  • Garscube Road Update
  • We also have a survey specifically on West Princes Street that it would be great if you could complete to let us know your thoughts – it should only take a few minutes to complete and can be found here .

We look forward to seeing you there and hearing what you have to say about the next stage of this exciting project!
