Beat the Street starts in Woodside!

Beat the Streets is a fun, free game that is now underway and sees the wards of Maryhill, Lambhill and Hillhead transformed into a giant game! See how far you can walk, cycle or wheel in just 6 weeks. Play the game from 31st May to 12th July to win prizes for yourself, or join a team to win leader board prizes. Every journey you make adds to your points total as well as your team and the whole area. How far can you go?

How to register

Anyone living, working or going to a school in Maryhill, Lambhill and Hillhead is eligible to be part of Beat the Street. To take part, all you need to do is pick up a card or a fob – you can find all the locations here - and then register online .

How to play

Once you’ve got your card, you’re ready to go! Start your journey by going to your first Beat Box (all the locations can be found here ). Hold your card or fob against the Beat Box until it beeps and flashes, then walk, cycle, or wheel to a different Beat Box within an hour – then hold your card or fob against this Beat Box until it flashes to score 10 points. Now carry on your journey and score more points for each extra Beat Box you tap!

Win Beat the Street

There is more than £4000 worth of prizes to give out through the game, plus leader boards for community and school teams, and prizes for highest average and highest points. Registered players can also win weekly Lucky Tap prizes such as vouchers and Beat the Street goodies for taking part.
